Page views, usage patterns, performance metrics. PostHog only loads and only sets cookies after you accept. If you decline or do nothing, nothing is collected and no analytics cookies are set.
Preferences
Stores your analytics consent choice in localStorage (`consent_analytics`) so we remember your decision.
Maps & Location
Google Maps uses browser storage for map performance. Location sharing is opt-in and controlled by your device settings.
Your Controls
- Analytics only runs after you accept in the cookie banner or Consent Manager (floating button).
- Declining sets `consent_analytics=false` and PostHog stays fully opted out — no events, no cookies, no session replay. Do Not Track (DNT) is treated as a decline.
- You can change your choice anytime via the Consent Manager button (bottom-right).
- You can also clear cookies via your browser settings.
Retention
- Session cookies: cleared when you close your browser.
- Consent preference (`consent_analytics`): stored until you change it or clear browser storage.
- PostHog analytics data: retained per PostHog workspace retention settings; contact us for deletion.
